Mark has created and facilitated many workshops. These workshops are a collective and an interactive experience. They embrace the learning modalities and address all the senses. Music and sound are essential elements. Participants are encouraged to interact and take risks individually in both small and whole group settings. There is sharing and reflection and expression. The spirit of harmony and resonance are foundational and serve to provide an atmosphere from which one can catapult into new awareness.

 Voice as a Tool for Personal Transformation

One of our most personal forms of expression is the voice. It is capable of generating a wide range of emotion. It is the tool of manifestation, putting our intent out into the world. Yet, for many, it is the very source of discontent and ancient restrictions. Shut down by less than well-meaning parents and teachers, we struggle to make our presence known in the moment. As the voice is stilted, so, too, is the growth. 

This workshop activates the voice through specific activity and play. We reconnect with our inner power and learn to use its vibration to massage ourselves into the world.

 Sacred Sound and Vibration

Sound fills the Universe. In each expression of life there is a melody, a song, an incessant vibration. That vibration has the inherent  frequency of health. It seeks to maintain and evolve, but not diminish. When it diminishes, a state of dis-ease arises. Your song must be sung if you are to keep yourself in the Divine Flow.

This workshop will provide a myriad of opportunities to give expression, to explore and recover and celebrate that sacred and personal sound that is I. We will experience seed sounds  and mantras and chants and just explore the boundless dimensions of sound. Be prepared to express, to chant, to sing, to drum, to dance. But mostly, be prepared to reconnect to that deep, deep essence that longs to shout the truth of I Am.

 At Play in the Fields of Now

Play and childhood are synonymous. We used to play with an open and active imagination and in wild abandon. But the years and the process of socialization and "fitting in" have tempered our spontaneity and relegated our play to sophisticated games that ring of competition and manipulation and a reward at the end. Where is the joy? It is not gone, for it is what we are made of. We are programmed for an ecstatic dance with the world. It is in our cells and can be recovered...if the will says "yes" and the feet move forward.

This workshop is to rediscover the spontaneity and abandon of those years of youth. Quite simply, we will play...alone, in pairs,  in small groups, and  as a whole community. Opportunities will be offered to process what comes up as a result of the frivolity. The intent is to carry the renewed awareness back into our lives to create a more playful world.
